Dr. Alfried Längle M.D., Ph.D., Dr. h.c.mult, studied medicine and psychology at the Universities of Innsbruck, Rome, Toulouse and Vienna. After years of hospital work in general medicine and psychiatry, he started a private practice in psychotherapy, general medicine and clinical psychology in Vienna (since 1982). At the same time he began his close collaboration with Viktor Frankl (1983-1991). He is the founder and president (since 1983) of the International Society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (Vienna). Dr. Längle is a constant lecturer at the Universities of Vienna (since 1984), Innsbruck (1994), Moscow (2000), Buenos Aires (2000) and Mendoza (2000).
